      Checking Out Books

Students may check out books for three weeks, renewing them if necessary. There are three iPad Look Up/Checkout stations available to you for quick checkout. You may download the Apps to your own devices to make it even easier.

      Look Up

      Check Out

      Computers

Laptop computers and iPads may be checked out for one period at a time; after school, the laptop or iPad may be kept until 5:45pm.

Students are responsible for the welfare of this laptop or iPad. It should not be left unattended or taken out of the library area, and if the laptop is not returned by 5:45, the student will not be able to check out a laptop or iPad for one week; if this happens more than twice, the student will be banned from the computers for two weeks and will receive a detention.

Please follow the Student Handbook rules concerning computer games and cell phones.

        Group Study Rooms

Manchester Library and Learning Center encourages students to work collaboratively, and the Group Study Rooms are designated for it. However, they can also be used by students who favor silent study with few distractions.

It is important that the rooms be used in appropriate ways.

        1.  One student takes the responsibility and checks out the room.  Everyone else signs in on the clipboard.  (Maximum of 5 total).

        2.  If someone wants to join your group room, send them to the Circ Desk to sign in.

        3.  NO FOOD OR DRINK ALLOWED.

        4.  Please erase the white board after use.

        5.  Make sure the door is closed and the room is picked up when your group leaves.

        6.  Group Study Rooms close at 5:30.

        7.  Failure to follow these simple rules will mean banishment from the Group Study Rooms for at least a week and possible detentions.

        Photocopying

The library's photocopy machine is on the Main Level near the printers. This machince may also be used for scanning.

Photocopying is free of charge and encouraged in the research process. Reference books, especially the religious study ones, should not leave the library.
